landforms, a gallery on Flickr.

This is my Creative Commons/flickr project. I put together a gallery of pictures of different landforms. I would use this to engage students when beginning a unit on landforms. I would show a picture and have the students describe what they see as we come up with definitions of each of the landforms.

  1. Jennifer, have you ever used VoiceThread? I haven't but it's on my list of things to try with students. You could put these slides up on VoiceThread and record your students' comments. Here's a link to the site:

Here's a link to a VoiceThread on cows by a young student: http://voicethread.com/?#q.b562.i4702. If you hover over the user icons around the edges you can hear other comments. I can't see having each student have their own account but they could each take turns describing the features of the land form on each picture.

  2. PS While trolling VoiceThread, I found this wonderful family album with a "pants" theme. I love it!
